Canada 93-97 SwayBar Installation

Hi,

I have a 94 Toyota Corolla, I notice the on my corolla there is no front sway bar. Since I use the car for Solo2 and Solo1, I think adding a sway would help the car in tight corners. I dont feel like spending money on an aftermarket sway bar.

So I was wondering first of all how hard it is to install one (can i do it myself), if I could install a swaybar from a 93-97 Corolla DX (I think it has a swaybar). Is it going to be bolt-on or is it going to be a pain in the ass.

I saw a post on the board that said that the swaybar from the 98-02 is compatible with the 93-97 so i'm pretty sure it can be done.

note: I would also have the same question for the strut bar

thanks

Luke

hey, the capadibility between 98-02 and 93-97 i dont know about, i do know that you can find the sway you want off most DX's and should be all LE's

go to the scrapyard for the parts and get everything, it will most likely be a bit of a chore to get it in there , you will probably have to unbolt the exhaust at the converter but it should be a bolt in affair. my advice would be to take pics of the donar vehicle!

I will probably go looking for one soon in a scrapyard.

I don't really know much about swaybar installation, I'm guessing there is some sort of linkage to fix it to the suspension(strut) or is it linked somewhere else? I guess removing the exhaust is going to be a pain since it will be probably rusted.

Taking a picture sounds like a great idea, if anyone has a picture of a corolla with sway bar so I can better understand what I actualy have to do.

I was also wondering if the DX or LE have a Strut bar ?

Thanks

there are endlinks that go from the end of the sway bar to a bracket on the lower control arm, if you go to the scrap yard take everything with it.

why don't u get a cusco type 1 or 2 front lower arm bar from this site:http://www.andysautosport.com/produc...rs?_v=vmd00399
I have an AE101 w/o front sway bar. Don't have the product but I can say it's the best alternative.
