So I bought this Crank shaft from the Middle East a few years ago when I had a problem with my Corolla! After I carried the mammoth overseas here I realized that it's more cost effective to put another engine in the car..
So who has creative ideas on what to do with this crank shaft that's putting a dent in my condo floor?

could you not get it balanced and shove it in the car? because from what I have been told the 4af and 4afe cranks aren't balanced by the crank. Not sure if that would help you at all though or do any good lol
sell it
I notice all the machine shops are careful to store crankshafts in a vertical position. With something as small as the 4AFE crankshaft, I wonder if this really matters.
Wrong, the pulley dampens harmonic vibration. Hence the name harmonic dampener/balancer, you could drive with a non-dampened alum. pulley if you have the 40mm crank, the 38mm can break in two if you use a lightweight alum. pulley.

it should always be stored upright..... this is because the weights of the crank can cause the crank to bend ever so slightly (not noticeable to the eye)...

some engines like old school V8's are "externally balanced" using a tuned flywheel to balance the crank...... most imports are "internally balanced" meaning that the crank is balanced in its self and the flywheel is balanced in its self

Gees i tell ya ...theres always one .........001 mm will kill a crank at 8,000 rpm
STore them right and make sure ther balenced.............if you have specs of the crank and model no. mayby somone will buy it off ya..eg 4afe,7afe,4age and type..!
Good luck as you said just buy a new motor with the bits......it a steep learning curve this performance stuff so stick with it and researce before you bye!
