short ram intake question

my car, 94' 5-spd, got the intake a couple days ago, the instructions told me to connect the pcv valve to the intake pipe, my question, is this really necessary? i didn't wanna mess with it, so i left the pcv alone.......wassup with connecting it to the intake pipe???does it make a difference or something? its been about a week now, the car runs good

Just make sure whatever was plugged into the airbox is plugged into the intake.

The intake shouldn't have any unused holes unless it's some crappy Ebay non model-specific piece.

the only thing from the stock intake box was the temp sensor i believe, i just connected that to the new intake pipe instead of the pcv valve

so.....nobody has heard of routing the pcv valve to an aftermarket intake pipe??? nobody has bought an intake kit with instructions to "connnect the pcv to the intake pipe" ???????

Nope. Not for Toyota's

Maybe for the ricer Civis with VTEC y0

It should only have he temp sensor connected. Plug any unused holes and make sure that it is only what lines were connected to the hose before, are connected now..

It will run, but the fuel maps will be shit and most likely will resort to default safe-mode fuelmapping, goodbye horsepower.

Mate mate mate....the intake temp sensor will work fine as long as its plug in and near the air filter......if all ya other plugs are right well ya right then..if ya had a cold air intake well thats a different story....
to make it neat just drill ya hole and silicon it in!
get rid of all shavings ..eg do it off the car!
