Speaker Size?

I have a '90 Corolla SR5, and i was wondering what size the speakers are in the rear and front? i've went to different sites and they're telling me different things..does anyone kno for sure? i'm pretty sure they're either 5 1/4" or 4", someone tell me! thanks.

u know it wouldn't be too hard to go unscrew the front/rear speaker housings and measure it yourself...

i checked..but do u measure the entire speaker? because i measured it and it was 4.5"...which isn't exactly a normal speaker size..or are u supposed to measure in between the screw holes?

this 90 SR5 I saw at the yard down here seemed to have 5.25 speakers on it.. but if your lucky enough like me.. the stupid brackets that the speaker covers attach to, are ALSO part of the speaker shell.. damn engineers!! this makes it really difficult to just swap to better speakers on my GTS.. I'm actually considering just leaving them there and not using rear speakers, and just get the subs going. either that.. or getting a rear deck from an SR5 without speakers, and making my own install.

yeah if i'm not mistaken my car has those speaker brackets too..i jus want to take them off..and i think all 4 speakers for mine are 4"..most sites say 4" a couple say 5.25"

4 inch are the ones up front for sure man.. rears might be 4inch on 88-89 models though.
