1982 corolla swap to a chevy 4.3?

looking at a 1982 corolla but i know the power isnt there (stock 1.8L) id love to get a 4.3 (carbed probly) so it can get out of its own way (and spin those damn rear tires on dry pavement)

would a chevy 4.3 fit in without major modification? how about trannies (looking for 5spd)

why only go 4.3 go BIGGER like a 305 or a 350 V8, i agree that would be cool, total sleeper

I'm Sorry but fun and 4.3L go well. But Economy and 4.3 Dont...

But anyway. If they can squeeze a 5.7L LS1 into a Porcshe 933, and a blown Cosworth Shaker into a KE70 (Admitadly the KE was drag only), then i would say you could make it fit.

Youwould need EXTREME modification and $$$ to burn, but it would prolly fit...

the 1.8L 3TC can put out some serious power if modded properly, no need for a 4.3L V6. If you don't like the 3TC you can always opt for something more modern and still stay in the Toyota family: 1JZGTE (2.5L Twin Turbo motors from Japanese supras), 7MGTE (3.0L Turbo motor from the Supra, 3SGTE + RWD transmission (2.0L Turbo from Celica and MR2).

Lots of options you can go with, check out www.dorikaze.com an old school Canadian Toyota site, lots of people from BC, Alberta and Ontario on there.
