why?? there's no reason to change it as it's brand new and there would be no gains in hp/torque if you did so anyways. So I'm asking again... why??

high tech fuel filter

so much for replacing the fuel filter in a xrs. apparently the fuel filter is in the tank and is nothing more than a sock over the fuel pickup. the service manager has no ideal of when to change the sock,i guess when ever it gets dirty.

I'd say more like: When you have to replace the fuel pump.

Did you get a second opinion on this? I find it very surprising that there is no inline fuel filter.

there are 2 filters on 2000 and up corollas....both are in the fuel tank. One is the sock that goes over and the other is inside a white box where the fuel pump is.........wouldn't bother replacing these.......no point....its too much work. I have 170 000 km on my rolla and don't have any fuel related problems yet.
