Put in a new steering wheel... directional problem...?
I put the steering wheel from one of my MR2 parts cars (the 1985) into my AE92... but now the directionals don't shut off after turning. The steering wheel seems to be hitting something when I turn too.
What's different, and is it something I make work?
Not sure, I gotta pull it off again. But I was just wondering if anyone ran into this. I have an aftermarket Grant wheel in my MR2 that doesn't do that and works fine... so I don't really know what's going on!
All I did was take one wheel off and put another on. What could have gotten messed up? When I turn it makes clicking... or kinda thunking in the column now.
Well, where do you draw the line for the hub. The blinker stick operates from a separate system, the steering wheel isnt connected to it, but the steering column is. However, to remove any part of it, you have to take off the steering wheel.
