AE101 starter
ok so i know i'm a complete schmuck for doing this but when removing the starter i removed the bolts that hold it together. thus the commutator slid out of the brushes or slip rings or whatever you might call them. i'm just wondering if anybody knows how to hold these brushes back for me to get the armature back in. it would be much easier if i could seperate the end with the brushes in it from the center housing with the pole shoes, windings etc. but of course the windings have to have an electrical connection to the brushes so its not like i can just cut those wires. any suggestions? and i dont need to be reminded how retarded of a mistake i made.
