i searched but...

Alright i tried the search, but all i got was info for the 89 corolla's. Does anyone have any info regarding a 2001 corolla ce engine swap?

What fits, whats easiest, cheapest, etc.

Any info or links are greatly appreciated.

The only drop in swap you can do is a 2ZZGE motor from the Celica GTS, Corolla XRS or Matrix XRS. Anything else (3SGTE, 4AGE) would have to be custom done.

Another feasible thing is to keep the 1ZZFE motor you have now and go with the TRD Supercharger.

All three motors are the same motor, just tuned a little different. I believe the Matrix and Celica XRS are tuned to about 180hp while the Corolla XRS is tuned to 175hp.. something like that.. its still the same 2ZZGE motor though.

For the SC call a few dealers and see what their prices are.

the 2ZZ is FAR from a drop-in swap.

why would you say that? i would expect it to be just as simple as a 4ac/4afe to a 4age

you'd have to swap the entire wiring harness, as well as change the motor mounts. if you're good with welding, then good for you - some of us don't have that ability.

i believe there's more to it than that, as well, but since i've never done the swap i couldn't tell you.
