USA New 06 CE Corolla Power Lock and Window Question

I have a new 06 CE Corolla without power locks and windows. I now realize I want them. How can I add them? Is there any kit availible to purchase, and how much would it cost to get it installed?

go to a junkyard and rape a dead/crashed car...though you'll need the wiring, and all the innards from the doors, as well as all switches.

So then its sort of universal? Any power window/door innards will fit in this guys 06?
Because your not going to find many 03-06 models in a bone yard that they will let you take innards from and how is he going to install power window switches on his door arm if their from another car and you will have to run wiring to install switches/power on every door......Then you will still have to get a remote and program it to open/shut your door...good luck...

errr.

ok, my post was apparently misunderstood. i will attempt to clarify.

go to the junkyard, find a Corolla from the years two thousand three, two thousand four, two thousand five, or two thousand six, and gut the doors.

yes, junkyards WILL allow people to gut the doors...i've done it on NUMEROUS occasions. will the user have to get switches, as well? of course - but i assumed he had more brainpower than a gnat, and could figure that part out on his own.

he did not specifically say REMOTE locks, therefore getting the remote and programming it would be pretty useless.

He said power locks, modern Toyota's don't just have "power locks" without any remote, why would you go through the trouble of an install and just insert simple power locks if you can't use a remote to open your car and have to use a key to get in all the time ..I don't know what junkyards you go to but new model used car parts are a premium here and I'm sure everywhere else, there not just going to let you gut the doors when they can get top $$$ from collision places for a complete working door, I know I just had to put one on from an accident I had and it wasn't cheap....what good is the rest of door to people after its gutted?...For what they would charge him and the work involved, especially if he's not that mechanical inclined he would be better off going to a shop and getting it done with a guarantee...just my humble opinion...
Happy Memorial day to all my American friends here!...~Radd~

Power locks, keyless Entry for a Corolla $28 on ebay...Beats working your ass off all day ripping doors apart in a muddy hot junkyard and its probably cheaper too, comes with instructions...You probably can find power window kits too, I just haven't time to look....Good luck again ~Radd~

1 - up until 2002, at the very least, Corollas DID NOT come with a remote keyless entry. you could get power locks(and it was standard on some models), but the keyless was an extra few hundred dollars.
2 - in EVERY JUNK YARD IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND you can buy whatever you want off a car. i take it you have odd junk yards near YOU. i've been all over the state, and if they allow people in the gates, they allow those same people to buy whatever they want. same thing goes for southern PA and northern Virginia.

Not so much odd as insurance costs and them making more money taking it off for you!
People being allowed passed the gates here in Ohio is almost a thing of the past, I would say one out of ten will let you in and then the cars are almost picked clean by others trying to save some money the same as you are!...So finding parts for any car is down to paying premium $$$ for them to take it off or buying it from parts already taken off that are on the shelves...Have a good holiday...night...~Radd~

ahhh, well i can't speak for Ohio - just my state, and the adjacent states. i find it extremely odd that your junkyards don't allow people inside - ours are all the u-pull sort...and all are overflowing with parts that you've so far claimed you can't pull.

Mate! every were is a bit diferent but in auusie we cant get cars that new in a pull your self place but we can get door trims and locks etc with out the door attached!.
the windows will need door trim, switch gear and wireing loom, power motor..once you pull your door trim off you will work out if you need the mechanizum aswell.eg a normal window might have the bolt holes for the powered moter.
As far as power door locks lots of models here came with them but the remote was optional or for high spec models....the base models have a switch on the centre console...it is even good without the remote..option because if the back is unlocked just press the button with the drivers door open and then shut..the car is fully locked including the hatch...ever gotton out of the car walked to the otherside back door to find its locked..that suxs...if you find the model with both the looms will bolt up sweet...the power locks fit like they should as after market stuff always needs mods to fit right!!
If i was you i'd just gut the doors and then make a deal with a wreaker for a change over price on the lot! including swicth gear etc..

We had power windows added to our 03 Corolla from a third party for $600 CND. They did a pretty good job, except it's not the same as having stock ones ofcourse. We did run into a problem where if you push two buttons at once, it would blow a fuse in the car and cause the car to stop running. The guys fixed it by running a line directly to the battery and everything was fine from there one. So in summary, the options you seek do exist, just look around xD.
