Anyone ever clock their AE86?

I was wondering if anyone has ever timed their ae86 for performance spec purposes

0-60 time?
60-100?

just interested in knowing if anyone has done it before...

my guess is my hatch does it in 9 seconds... and mines bone stock

this car is by no means a dragster....put it on the track...and its a differenct story......

ic...

well accelerating from 60-100 is a different story than going from 0-60

I am guessing on the track since the car is realtively light and already in motion that it can accelerate quickly coming out of turns
(for those of us who can take a sharp turn at 60)

well in a drag race (besides the launch) they say 3rd gear is what seperates the men from the boys (hp wise)

0-60 kph I think my hatch is pretty fast... but 60-100 kph is anohter story

*note I was referring to mph in the posts above

amm... with stick.. should be around 10.X sec. coz. it's a pretty light car..

but for the high end... i think it need some boost..
i raced one Panda 86 with an upgraded exhaust on Hwy404 ... we went from 120-150km/h..
that car couldn't keep up with me... i had 3 person including me on my car..

after that race.. i felt quite sad.. coz. i jsut beat a car i LVOE
i wish it was a civic or some other car..

ya.. right.. could have been an sr5.. coz. that guy removed all wordings.. so i didn't know if that was a SR5 or GT-Apex..

hehe.. ya i know street racing is bad.. so far i have jsut raced for like 2-3 times.. i didn't even think of race to that 86... i was just enjoying seeing that...:p

however... that guy keep blocking me from changing to his lane (i must go to that lane coz. i gotta go off ramp).. maybe he though that i wanted to race with him..
so i accelerated ... then changed my lane..

AE86es were never designed to race in a straight line.
115 rated hp 1600cc 4 banger for straight line racing?

puhlease

we never got the gt-apex. the gt apex doesnt have ps and stuff. it's lighter and has less stuff

oh doesnt a stick corolla(like the one u have) have a 3.8FD?
and u had 3 ppl in the car and u beat him....so it probably was an sr5 since a gts with the t50 has like 4.3FD or something like that...he should have taken u just because u had those 3 extra ppl.

i think the GT-V was the model with less 'stuff', and more performance orientated, not as 'luxurious' as the Apex

oh well all WE got was the GT-Boro :p
