Clarification about CIA and Short Ram - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I am a little confused, havent had a chance to test this myself, but how can CIA or Short Ram intakes increase gas milage???? I would think that it would DECREASE the milage and this is my thought:

When more air comes into the engine, the computer recognizes that and in turn pumps more gas into the engine to compensate for the increased air flow?

Stop me if I am wrong

It will decrease gas mileage if you stomp on the throttle all the time..otherwise you should gain a bit...and it's CAI not Cia.

Wrong, it will decrease gas mileage or it will stay the same, depending on your drive habits. You will NEVER gain gas mileage from it, who ever claims that is lying to you.
