i was in the junkyard the other day and i noticed a 87 corolla gts but with a 4a-f engine in it...i thought all gts's had 4age's

did it have 4 wheel disc brakes? did it say GTS on it? its prolly a sr5 wannabe gts. (sideskirts and sticker etc.)

its most likely GTS wannabe unless the fool did a 4AFE swap.... or maybe theres a Turbo kit on it....check it out!!!

there are many differences that you can notice except for the engine.

For example:
-the factory sport bar for GTS
-the GTS alloy wheel is 14" and SR5 is only 13"
-most of the GTS has side skirt and spoiler
-GTS is equipped with 4 wheel disc brake
-GTS has no automatic, if the one you see is auto, it must SR5
-also the rpm gage is different, GTS has higher redline around 7200rpm and SR5 has redline at around 6000-6500(I forget)

that's what i currently can think of...hmm.. may be more
is not hard to find out it is SR5 or GTS

btw the SR5 doesn't have T-VIS, and the interior is slightly different from the GT-S
