Canada so my tensioner pulley bolt broke

98 Corolla Le

so went to loose it to replace a pulley and belt. went to remove it and check it by hand first and it seemed really loose

it came out with my hand, it broke on the treads. it was barely holding on and was making the tensioner sit side ways (which looked like it was a faulty pulley)

so I could pay to remove the bolt which involves lifting the engine and then drillin it out. Or should I get a new motor(mine has been burning oil for a while.)

What should I be paying for a motor swap, any suggestions for a play that is reliable

Lifting the engine and drilling it out. Sheesh, who the hell told you the engine needs to be lifted out. Theres ample space to drill it out with the engine in place, however if you can see the rest of the bolt, you can try to use vicegrips to get it out.

If you need a new motor (because of burning oil or other problems) then change the motor. But don't change it because of a broken bolt.
