'89 Corolla Alltrac

My Alltrac's motor is gone. It has a bad rod knock. Anyone know if the Alltrac motors are different from non-alltracs? Its a '89 wagon with a 5 speed.

I believe your motor is a 4AFE which was the same motor as the Sedan, SR5 Coupe and non-Alltrac wagons from 1990 and up. The only diff is the transmission.

Same shi* different bucket lol
if ya after a full replacment motor make sure you use your manafold and bits etc

some manafolds and afm or maps changed abit over time
if its different it may effect your ecu.....
if ya got some extra cash now is a great time to upgrade!

if ther is a difference it'll be with the right top bolt for the centre diff to block mount.
with my 20v i just ground it back on the block side.(the block casting thread sticks out to much)....takes 5 mins! just used a std angle grinder
