It would depend on what the sticker price of the car was. If the sticker price was $18,000 and you paid $20,000, then you didn't get too good of a deal. If it was $23,000 and you paid $20,000, then you got a darn good deal.
You let the infiniti go.... for $600? Holy shit. I would have given you $1200 for it. Live and learn. Shop around. Any dealership that tells you someone else is interested.. let em keep it. You can always get another one from some place else. Tell them to sell it to that other person and then watch how quickly they change their attitude. Use the net to shop around. The Kelly blue book website is free too. But at least you bought a good car. Just make sure they pay for anything covered under the warranty. Good Luck
Wow! A couple years ago I bought a fully loaded V6 midsize car, leather, side air bags, power seats, TCS/ABS, moonroof, and all the other gadgets for $19,300 with a 100k mile warranty.
I just purchased an 07' corolla S. It's got the moonroof, all power, etc. I think it's loaded. No anti-locks or additional warranties. I wrote a check for 15.9k including sales tax and all the fees. LOVE the lil car.
I paid 17,800 for my corolla S brand new and i got keyless entry spoiler, floor mats, and a few other things. But it is all good because man if you are happy with the car screw it and enjoy what you have.
I got my for $17,600, I believe that WE BOTH could of got it for a lot LESS. But what JeffG sayed it is a learning experience. I could of got that Corolla XRS for what I paid for an 'S'....:ha mmer:
My 03 Corolla S (white/black, hard combo to find) was 18K before its release in late 2002. Prices varies from location to location but then again there is the MSRP. If you've done tons of research you should know what other people have paid for a similar equipped car, that a dealer trade in usually isn't a lot, that a new car can easily be built and that you should have waited for that extra 4 minutes and beaten the guy up saying that its you car.
that dealership totally raped you. actually you got severely raped. the suggested trade in value for a 95 g20 is 2,625. and the private party value is around 3800. not to mention also on kbb the retail value for a 06 corolla s is like 15k
I just bought my 2001 corolla LE, with JVC premium music system, 1 owner, clean title, inspected by a known Auto mechanic and he said the car is clean in and out. I also have a 6 month warranty on it. For this I paid $7500. Any comments..
