i've been trying to find out information about how to fold down the back seats in my Corolla XRS 05, but have no luck. Does anyone know how to do this? or am i outta luck??

The main reason why i want to fold down the seats is because i just installed 2 12" subs and the trunk is holding alot of the bass inside the trunk

No the Corolla XRS does not come with fold down seats. There is an X-Brace that runs across the back of the seat in order to stiffen the chasis and reduce inertia causing chasis flex under hard cornering.

If you really wanted a 2ZZ then your only choice should have been getting the Matrix XRS (does not come with tuned performance suspension and get 17 inch rims instead of the 16 inch on the Corolla) or get Corolla S, LE or CE. All of these cars come with 60/40 split.

are you sure about the S having fold down seats? it never used to...mine doesn't...

They're talking 03-06, I believe you had a 01-02?

that's why i wasn't definitive...i didn't know if they changed it for the 9th gen.

Yep positive, I have owned 9th gen Corolla S too.

I thought every 9g (except the XRS) has fold-down seats? Maybe it was an option. *shrug*

My XRS doesnt have them either, but I dont really miss it. I mean, it's not like a transport lumber in this thing.

Speaking of XRS seats: -1 for Toyota only offering them in that awful blue. I want red, like the T-sport ot the RS Edition tC. It's not so bad of you have one of the universal colors -- but if I had a red car, I would puke everytime I saw it with a blue interior. Bah.
