check the classifieds... chances are if there is a good hatch ur gona have to enter a bidding war... as I am sure most hatch owners here can contest to...

i didn't know searching the for it is the "dirty work"...

i tried the auto trader mag, the auto trader site and stuff but no luck. The guy on msn says all the good cars are usually sold by words of mouth. So since i don'y know any body who will tell me that they are selling their car, i was wondering if people who already have a ae86, find a seller and help people like me who wouldn't know about the sale. I would really apriciate it.

If there isn't any AE86's in the AutoTrader, just wait till the next issue. Maybe it's just your luck they don't have any AE86's this time..

Make sure you inspect the car inside out, these cars aren't brand new you know...

what kind of things should i look for when buying one?

look on club4ag they have a section somewhere regarding to spots u should keep an eye out for...

make sure there are no serious holes in the floor pan and try to ignore fender damage as it is almost always unavoidable... fender damage can be repaired...

look under the brake booster in the front driver side strut tower there should be a hole there as it is generic to all ae86...

just open the hood, top right corner....area close to the VIN# on the dash
