Bent exhaust manifold ...?? or what?

There is noise coming out from the donut gasket region (between exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe) ..

The mechanic diagnosed and said that it is due to bend in the manifold ... so he is not able to tighten both of manifold and pipe together properly..

When I place my hand near donut gasket region, I can feel exhaust gases hitting my hand..

What should I do.. Do I need to take it to a muffler shop? How much it may cost to fix these kind of problems.. Please suggest me what to do.. If I leave it as it is what will happen??

thanks

What year is this car assuming it's a corolla. I would also take a look at the motor mounts that can cause things that used to match up not match up anymore.
