hey guys.. i was wonderin if u cud explain to me how does the tom's computer box work in an 4afe engine.. i just bought one from a friend of mine and installed it already.. damn! its GOOD! big increase in my power.. im not sure bout the rev limit, but some say there's none. i can rev mine up 2 7.5-8k rpm but still goin up.. im just scared cuz i might blow my engine up if i continue more revs. help please.. id really appreciate it.. and one more thing.. what do you guys think of it and what do you think it can do to my 4afe? thanx

wat can it do with an N.A. engine? please do explain more.. im not really good with these and im just new with modifying cars.. i personally think it gave me a lot of power.. it goes well with my n.a. fe.. i also installed an apexi afc.. and other stuffs.. really appreciate it.. thanx..
it really wont do anything for a NA car with a cai and exhaust installed, because the stock computer can handle the fueling even with those, because air intake amount hasnt changed. Also the SAFC settings will mix up the toms ecu up too.
If the ECU contain both complete boosted and non-boosted map.
It may not have enough points on the non-boost map.

Or it can be such that boost refrence points add a compensation ratio to the fuel map. So in effect, you'd have a non boosted map with a boost add-on map. Then again, I never bothered to study toyota ECU's, I just went for a standalone system called megasquirt
standalone ecu. it works just like an ECU, but its mappable and you have a shitload of stuff the stock ecu doesnt, such as boost control, launch control, injector sequencing, dual injector control, etc etc.
