how much differential fluid should be in an open differential from a 1986 Corolla GTS in mL/oz etc?

Capacity: 6.38 in. 1.0 liter (1.1 US qts, 0.9 lmp. qts)
6.7 in. 1.3 liter (1.4 US qts, 1.1 lmp. qts)

Like with all toyota diffs just remouve the drain plug and drain then fill until it starts comming back out the diff fill hole..

did i ask how to fill my differential? i just needed to know how full the differential was in order to see how bad my leak is. i will be replacing the pinion seal shortly.

Just making sure dude dont take it badly you would be surprised how many people under fill there diff ..

ummm... do all you other ae86 guys have to unbolt your lateral control rod to access your differential filler plug?

if I remember correctly when the car is jacked up it's out of the way... I've never had a problem with it being in way that I remember.

I just can't remember if I had the jack stands on the axle housing or the underbody when I did it.

i had mine on jackstands on the axle housing and the lateral rod was never in the way

my car is lowered, would that be enough to block it?
