93 corolla, 5speed, 1.8L

Where is the low side port? I see two fittings one near the firewall, and one farther up near the middle of the car by the engine mount.... One is a larger pipe one is smaller.

The system is holding some pressure, but its low, the compressor doesnt kick, so im guessing the pressostat is keeping it off so no damage is done... is there a way to force it on when im charging?

any other tips? Ive done plenty of recharges on other cars, but dont have a manual for the toyota that explains AC on the corolla. Haynes says "go to an auto shop"... I am EPA certified to work with r12.

its always High pressure small pipe and Low pressure big pipe... also the caps where u plug it into the system should say H=high pressure and L=low pressure... thats what aircraft maintenance skool taught me...
