nice car. sounds sweet. do you live in farm country? how are you shifting at the end? going into neutral? Bet u like this car better then the S auto you had. I have an LE 4 speed auto, fun car, sometimes I wish I had the XRS but I needed a change after 2 manuals lol. But hey I can always get an xrs later :-)
That little gizmo with the orange plug thing on it does not have to be there. SOrry for the poor technical terms I have no idea what that thing is called. If you leave it on you will get a CEL. You need to take all that crap off and run the little blue with white end VSV thing and that is it. There should be one hose from the throttle body running to the blue vsv, and one running out of it and no other hoses. I had mine set up like yours and it messed things up. Go to www. 9thgen corolla .com (without the spaces) and there is a sticky for the injen cai install in the 2zz section. Seriously take care of it before you have trouble.
Look at mine it should be like this:
Isn't the injen CAI awesome? How about that whistle from 6000 rpm and up? Isn't lift rediculous now? I love mine. Good luck with the install

Dunno. I have had mine for 3 weeks now and no check engine light or abnormal sounds and it runs fabulously. Besides, I had it professionally installed from a motorsports shop that has installed probably bazillion intakes. If I get a CEL, I will look into it.

Yes, it does. It pull keeps getting stronger until the driver abruptly slams into the rev limiter. The 330 ci dude heard lift with intake for the first time in this video and he told me later on that he almost dropped the camera thinking the motor will explode. That is why he is actually chuckling in the vid.

No I don't live there. This place is way outside city limits where there is no danger of cops being around. The 330 ci guy and I drove way outside the city to find some remote country side roads where we can have some fun with the cars.

Just because they are "pro motorsport masters" or whatever does not mean that they know how to install every part in every car. They followed the instructions that came with it I'm sure, which are for the 2004 matrix, which is slightly different. You have an extra VSV in there, and one day when it is cold the extra VSV will tell the car to open valves that aren't meant to be opened. You really need to take care of it, it looks sloppy and halfass to anyone who knows what they are doing.
Look at my picture, it is installed properly. None of that crap is attached to mine. One hose in the VSV, one out. You have the orange electric valve on yours, as well as a t-fitting leading to nowhere. Does that really make any sense?
You took a CAI to a shop to have installed?
Check out these links and learn a bit about your car, and next time do your own installs (especially on something so simple, what a great learning experience) that way you will actually know a bit about your car......
alright he links dont work as shown, they bleep out 9th gen corolla for somereason. Replace the stars with 9th gen corolla (no spaces) and the links will work. THere are super detailed step by step pictured instructions that any moron can follow at that site, you'd do well to check it out.

Good deal
I see in your sig you are lowering your car, what springs/shocks are you going to use?

Hey where did you get your ES motor mounts and did they make any difference???
I got them from a place in California called suspension restoration. They treated me well and shipped them fast. They make a huge difference, especially in stop and go traffic or city driving. THey do add vibration, but not much at all. I like it now that I am used to it. The mount inserts let me take off much more quickly than I could before, with no wheel hop. I also get quicker throttle response.

I am planning on getting Tein S-Techs. H-Techs are not sporty enough for me so I will go S-Techs. However, exhaust will be first.
Here's my car with S-techs and Koni Yellows.....

Looks very nice. I think that is the perfect drop on the car especially on the back. Although, I would like to have it a tad bit higher at the front (just barely because of snow). Overall, great drop.
p.s. How is the ride quality?? Is it quite good or really harsh on bumpy roads? I heard you have to get an alignment done after putting the springs on?
