would be LOUD!
No cat, no muffler = loud as hell. you'll be pulled over pretty fast. Just think of how loud it is when your muffler gets a hole.. well alot louder than that

Dang loud. I tried it when I installed the header on my 22R powered '80 corolla, and it rattled everything in the car. Good for a headache.

There are a few reasons why this wouldnt work on an 03-06.

For 1, unless your O2 Sensor is on the Exaust manifold, you cant remove the piping before that. It needs the o2 to work.

2. There is probably a second sensor after the cat. If this doesnt work, the car wont either.

3. It would be loud as heck, so you would get pulled over very very quickly. Any self-respecting traffic cop would know what they are looking at and slap a defect notice on pretty quickly. You would not even get close to passing the loudness test either.

It'll sound like a diesel locomotive a very shitty sound, plus you'll need to wear hearing protectors if you want to retain any hearing whatsoever.

Yea I did it on my silvertop, just cause I wanted to start the motor. (car was still on axel stands in my garage, didn't drive it like that.)

I've seen a silvertop run at the drags with open headers, very very loud, did a 14.7sec pass as well.

he asked about removing his muffler.
It is a separate piece AFTER the midpipe with the O2 sensor.
As in there is about 3" of pipe between the muffler and it's flange...

Even if you did remove the second O2 sensor, the car will still run.
You will just have a CEL with the O2 sensor code...

However, it isn't the best idea, as everyone else has already said...
