I had a 92 tercel that wasx loud as hell and all I did was cut the cat and muffler and run a side pipe from the firewall out the side in front of the right side rear tire. It is very loud and obnoxious and you will be noticed by doing this and the way the bends are done seems to keep ir running good.

Please tell me you 2 are joking... this is a joke right? Right? If it's not, well I have an idea. If you want a really really loud sound, get your car up to about 60 mph, and then vere off into the nearest tree. BOOM! Now that's a loud sound, and people will definetly notice.

think about what you wanna do, your gonna kill the power also the only thing your gonna do is draw alot of attention to yourself and make a fool out of yourself....

My advise go to a performance shop and look at the different mufflers pick one and have it put in place of the old muffler... with that you will be able to hear it but not draw too much unwanted attention

Yo dawg I lurned in teh fast and the furious that all you need to run 9s is a phat turbo and a NNNAAAAWWWWWWSSSS system! You could be a mad streetracer with a setup like that.

I highly recomend that you get lots of neon... paint, lights, you name it do it in neon. Then spraypaint all your inerior panels a really loud color. Add the cheapest muffler you can get, an autozone intake with a ghetto cone air filter, and some chrome hubcaps and you will look like a streetracer.

Chicks will want you and men will want to be you....

Yeah, or as others have said, just unbolt your exhaust before the cat, open headers FTW.

If you just want a louder exhaust, go get a decent (not a cheap eBay unit) performance muffler and get a good mechanic to weld it in place of the stock. It would be in your best interest to go and do it right the first time. Headers, new piping, a high flow cat and a good performance muffler (and maybe a resonator to quiet it up a bit...) will not only give you more sound but also more power....
