GoodBye Corolla. Hello G35.

As of tomorrow, I will (hopefully) be the proud owner of a 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe. Yes, I'll miss my Corolla, especially it's fuel economy. But I hope to have some good times in my G35

My old man is keeping the Corolla as a commuter car so I will still be on here periodically when my dad has problems with it.

So long! Thanks to everyone for their feedback in the past!

That is what I was wondering, I can't figue why any enthusiast would want a G35.....much heavier than the 350z, the price of luxury. No enthusiast would pay more money for less performance.

I could be wrong though so I asked....

who says i'm paying more? the 350z is actually just as expensive, especially considering i would have gone with the grand touring or track version of it.

anyway, im grabbing the g35 for $28k (not including taxes) b/c it's used. yep. but, it's only got 800 miles on it

besides, ive already spoken with my insurance company and they said it would be 30-40% cheaper to insure a g35 coupe just because it has those two rear seats. plus those extra seats make it more practical for my lifestyle. and its roughly an extra 12inches long. more cargo space.

anyway, i can see why some people would prefer a 350z over a g35 but i'm taking into consideration that i won't be messing around with it too much, just yet. i'm going to college next year and won't have much time to mess with it. so i just want a sweet ride

Your parents bought you a G35 to use as a college car?

ok hold on, why are people giving him a hard time about this choice, I say kick ass man. Thats a bad ass car and I would love to have just the same, I would trade my corolla in a minute for a g35, I would have even traded my Beloved Contour for a g35. Im sure if anybody on this site were given the option of getting a new car and having their parents go half and half on it, they probably would take it too. Although I wasnt given this option for my first car, my mother was nice enought to purchase it and look at me and say "free yardwork for life" which I think is a fair trade for my first investment... I ended up selling that car 2 and a half years later, getting exactly what we paid for it, and using that as a down payment for my corolla... I only have $800 left for payments on the Rolla'.

my parents helped me buy my corolla <shrugs> first car...
He worked hard to get the half for the car. I think it's great his parents offered. You guys are all just mad because your parents didn't do the same lol. And although the g35 or 350z aren't my first choices one car to someone that might think it's crappy might be PERFECT for someone else.
Good job man it's still a fast car. And it's not the car it's the driver. I hope you enjoy it.

my dad wanted me to pay for it all, plus the interest back to him but my mom said wtf... even his dad paid for half of his car. He didn't even want to come look at the car with me which sucked. But he gave in and ended up doing it
