intercooler
blow off valve
wastegate
injectors
fuel pump
gze ecu or piggyback/standalone
fuel/boost controller
beefed up oil cooler
shimmed oil pump
exhaust
exhaust gas temp gauge, afr guage, oil pressure gauge, fuel pressure gauge, boost gauge
fuel pressure regulator
air filter for your turbo

if you're gonna be running large boost, consider the following:

thicker head gasket
low comp pistons
forged rods
refreshed bearings, rings and seals
stronger clutch
bigger brakes

AE86Drift, from your signature it seems like your primary purpose is to drift? If so then i think the GZE would be more suitable, not because its a lot easier, but you're not going to full throttle with a turbo 'as much' as say, going down a straight line

..plus when you're really gliding sideways your intercooler won't be facing the front all the time..

the only time you wouldn't need a wastegate is if it had an internal one.

from your description, i don't know whether or not it has or hasn't.

most turbos require an external wastegate, most of the time coupled with a custom dump pipe. most of the time, the waste gate is placed just aft of the exhaust housing on the compressor.

also, arguing that a gze would be better than a turbo for drifting is silly. its personal prefference. drifting has very little to do with how your engine is configured or tuned. drifting has everything to do with drving SKILL.

one setup might be more forgiving than the other, but it very rarely defines how good a "drift" you can pull. keep in mind that some of the silvias, cefiro's, chasers and fd's that drift are utelizing some of the largest trim turbos and put out huge hp. its all what you find easiest to use.

with that said, i think you could argue that a t3/t4 turbo might be a bit large for a relativily small engine like the 4age. in that case, you'd want something smaller so that the spool time is alot quicker. but then again, i don't know how to choose the perfect trim for the perfect application. my advice would be to pick some brains of acreditted turbo tuners to see what they have to say.

first check your manifold

HKS left hand drive turbo manifolds are extremely rare, chances are you've got a right hand drive manifold, and it will not fit, especially with a big t3/t4.

You may need a new manifold.

Your turbo is also too big for anything other than drag on a little 1600... unless of course you don't mind waiting til your doing 5000 rpm for the power to come on... or can afford to install a different gearset.
