hello all new guy here, thaks for having this forum availiable. i have a (totally stock but well maintained) 2001 corolla le 1.8L automatic (or i should say my wife does) and it makes this growling sound from the engine compartment taking off from a red light with the a/c on. its a growling low sound at say 900 to 1100 rpms. sounds like to me that theres a strain on the engine and the rpms are a hair too low, any ideas???????????????thanks

it only happens when the ac is on right?

as long as the ac is still cold and it only makes that noise when the ac is on, i wouldnt worry too much about it, prob normal
