Question '97 Corolla CE OBD problem

Hey Folks,

I am new to this site and not really car savvy so I apologize in advance on behalf of my ignorance but I was wondering if there was anybody here that could help me with my problem. I have a 1997 Corolla CE that when I plug in an OBD II reader into it I get no kind of feedback whatsoever. I've had one person tell me that I should check the fuses for it and I did and the fuses were intact. I had another guy tell me that I could jump one input/section to another one of the diagnosis box in the engine compartment and that would provide me with a readout from the OBD connection in the passenger compartment but that guy never got back to me on the details of what specific sections of the diagnosis box to connect to one another. I am lost at this point as to how I can extract the codes from the module in my car so if there is anyone who can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much,

Codeless in Sacramento

If your OBDII connection doesn't work, it isnt' because of a fuse.
Either something is wrong with the harness, with the ecu, or with the scanner.
Or you didn't have it completely connected.
