Question 93 corolla shifter/pwr locks question

Hey Guys,

Just got a 93 corolla and i have a couple of questions

first, i find the stock shifter way too long. i was looking around ebay and found the obx short shifter...anyone have this? or an opinion on this?

and 2nd... i have manual windows and locks... how hard/expensive would it be to change to power?

one other thing...the sound on my stereo gets louder and softer at random times....could this be a loose connection somewhere?

Thanks guys!

the obx is nothing special, IMO its more for bragging rights, you only get 1 bushing from obx, and you need 2, to this day i still cant figure a way to get that second bushing from, i've tried almost everything, the stock one is too small, i tried filing it down, it didn't work. The obx one will STILL sit freakin high, if you want one that will sit lower than stock, dont get the obx one.

TRD still make them: www.trd.co.jp

As for the pwr windows, it is not terribly expensive to do - there are retrofitting kits availible, but then you need to worry about what you will do with the holes from the manual winder...

any idea where i can buy the TRD kit in canada? or us?

hmm...looks like pwr windows are out then....how about pwr locks?

another question....my throttle pedal seems kinda laggy...
i've heard ground cables help with throttle response?? should i try this out? any DIY article on this? could this be related to why my stereo gets louder sometimes?

also i will try removing the slack on the throttle cable

thanks guys! keep the responses coming!

Power locks are the same, in the Toyotas there is a control box under the dash, the switch, the actuators and the mechanisms themselves. Again, a little involved if you dont already have it...

As far as buying TRD in the US and CA, go to the 'distributors' section of the website... Have the TRD part number ready when ordering too...
