Exhuast Question

Hi guys this weekend i will be installing headers for my customer (Corolla 2001 w/1.8L VVTI engine)

I found out that he currently has a axle back exhuast with 3 inch piping and 4 inch tip, i thought this was rather large for a NA car. What do you guys think? The car is completely stock apart from that bolt on muffler. Was thinking of installing the OEM system back on.

All help suggestions are welcome.

many thanks

-Lu

he sounds like an idiot. A ricer in high school put a turbo exaust on his NA Integra GSR. The car had absolutely no power below extremely high rpms, and it sounded like a raspy can of bees vomiting down the road. He's probably losing power with that setup.

Don't install the OEM system, just get a smaller diameter catback. Or...Install the OEM piping with a freeflow muffler at the end.

3" diameter piping on NA 1.8L

That is excessive for a NA Car. Would sound like a fart can gone bad...

Just do what the customer wants. If he wants to keep it, let him keep it. Its up to him to come good...
