Yeah, in my 1988 Corolla SR5 it is harder than crap to roll up my windows, mainly my passenger side one, but they are both hard to roll up. Generally all year round my passenger side window is hard to roll up. During the summer the drivers side window isn't bad at all and during the winter its just a little difficult but not bad. It wouldn't be a big deal but my AC quit working last august and generally its girls who are sitting in my passenger seat and they have to have me roll up the window for them(you know because 88 sr5 are pimp cars). Just wondering if this is a common problem with an easy fix or what. Just let me know.

my drivers window does that. With mind if you grasp the top of the window and put it towars the front of the car usually makes it better to roll it up.
I keep meaning to check it out. Probably something where the tracks are worn out. Being old and all and probably rolled up and down a million and a half times...
It's the rubber insulating trim, the felt has worn off so the windows don't slide as they used to. I have the same problem in both my cars. I changed both front window rubbers on my 89 GTS with ones I got from a junkyard and it was good for a year but those gave up too.
Only solution I can think of is using grease to lubricate it as its usually when it's wet that it gets worse.
thats because the girls I get are worried about their damn hair and leave the window shut. Plus if you open both windows my hair goes in my eyes and I can't see hahahaha and that tends to worry people
got to be more than a couple of window tracks. Not sure how toyota did it. But with my vw on either side of the window inside the door are these fealt like tracks on either side. You don't even have to replace the full track just the rubber/fealt thing
