*sigh* still looking for a GTS

hey guys,
I've been a lurker around these parts for awhile now. I'm still searching for a 84 or 85 GTS hatch. Any shape really, doesn't even have to have a motor, as long as it's a fairly straight and complete car. Anyone selling theres? or know of anyone?
thanks guys
Rob

btw heres a pic of my present car, wouldn't it look nice with a gts beside it?

if there's one piece of advice i can offer is to find one with the strongest body. don't worry about the engine, the mechanicals and what not (to a certain degree). just find a solid body.

Agreed, that is one of my main concerns. My dads a body man and I'm a novice mechanic(we did all the work on the mx6 above) So I'm more looking for a long term project I can take my time with and do properly. Then, enjoy it

if your in for the long haul

then might as well go for a long haul, try western Canada or down south and pick-up a rust free complete car or shell, even if it's an SR5 you could pickup a rusty GTS as a parts donor locally.

Mechanicals can be mixed and matched.. however a good body is hard to come by

having an nice and clean shell is kinda like a blank canvas... u can choose what setup u would like the most and it saves u alot of headaches removing unwanted materials/parts...

of course u also know what goes into the car... so u have a better idea of what/how ur car operates

then again I don't think I had to tell u that... I just wanted to whore more posts

no worries My mx6 was stripped to bare metel, it was originally green with a beige interior, I'm really looking forward to doing this car. I'd love to come to a meet of yours in the summer to check out your cars, if you don't mind
