I am considering fitting a 20valve 4age in my 97 prizm, the questions im unsure of is the oil pump on my stock prizm has a crank angle sensor, will that pump go directly on the 20valve crank. Also, with the intake, the 20 valve is a AFM engine, and the prizm is a MAP engine, can the intake from the prizm bolt up on the 20valve to be able to utilize the stock MAP sensor. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated
Never seen a prizm so I can't be sure, but I would say the oil pump won't fit the 4age.
Why would you want to change the oil pump anyway, the 20v will come with one.
You can run a silvertop with a map setup, but not with the stock ECU and not with the 4/5/7afe ECU, a blacktop ecu is the only factory ECU that will run a map 20v properly.
The easiest way is to get a stock loom and ECU, or get a stand alone ECU.

The reason for the oil pump change is that the stock 4afe(prizm) has a crank angle sensor in the oil pump housing, im assuming the 20v doesnt have this. my question about the crank is there are 4 valley grooves on the crank that the oil pump slides over, this is what turns the pump, so im wondering if the cranks are the same on both motors where the oil pump slides over the crank.
You will only need that sensor if you are attempting to run the 20V on the 4afe computer, basically. Sense that is impossible... well, you see where this is going I think. And no Punter, I'm not stalking you lol.
Ah, see thats what i wasnt grasping. so basically to run the 20v, ill need the wiring harness and 20v ecu right? Or could i just replace the stock Ecu with a stand alone. But, the next issue is wether it will pass DeQ.

Yup standard 20v ECU or tunable stand alone unit.
Is DeQ is an emissions test??
