Canada 3tc/t40 want to upgrade to t50

which t50 tranny do i need for my 81 3tc? currently have a t40 but want to upgrade. i know
some of the bell houseings are different form year to year. i also know the spline count is different
on some as well. which one do i need? is there a code to identify the correct tranny for me?

i'm selling a T50 including shaft with 20 splines (for older corollas). $100 obo.

btw, the AE86's T50 has 22 splines
