just another starting issue

so i have a 92 4afe sedan. the starter has had the contacts replaced recently. the thing was starting 3 mos ago, then it sat awaiting free time for me to install 4 new door handles. now i turn the key and nothing happens. so i put jumper cables on it, now the lights, wipers, stereo all work but once i turn the key all the way to start - nothing: no click, no almost start, nothing. from what i can gather from old threads, this could be a faulty ignition. anyone else have any similar issue or any ideas? thanks!

Take the battery out, charge it overnight then try again.

Could be any number of things.

try tightening the contacts on the starter...ours wouldn't start once, garage said new starter, wires, and stuff for a "low low price" in the hundreds...just tightened the contacts, worked fine ever since.

i have started the car maybe a dozen or so times since i put the starter back on and i put the battery on charge and it said it was full (plus i had it hooked up tp jumper cables from my truck), so i think i should start looking at the ignition, is there any special way to check that out? i mean all i can think of is put a new one in and see if that fixes it! how do i check it? could there be a bad realy going tot he iginition? thanks again!
