Talking just bought a 2000 corolla and i have a few questions

hi i just recently bought a 2000 corolla with an automatic tranny this is my first corrolla. i was wondering what i could swap the engine out with for better performance and then do a manual tranny conversion. idk what type of engine they use ne info would be great.

i was also wondering if u could send me some links to a few amazing looking body kits.

i found this pic on the site and was wondering if this was a kit or a different type of corolla or something. it hot none the less and i would love it if mine would look like that. so ne info on this car would be great.

thanks for ur help

That's an 01 Corolla. Check around on some of the boards and Vamp's website, and you'll get some ideas what you can do with the Rolla's and also if you're interested how to convert to an 01 front end. Try these sites

If you’re seriously considering an engine swap or boost and an auto tranny to manual conversion with body work or 01/02 front conversion with side skirt?
You should probably consider getting a different car since the cost to do these mods correctly will probably match the cost of the vehicle.

That picture is an 01/02 corolla s. It is slostvx's (sp?) car. Many people have done the front end conversion and its quite simple. You need new lights and corners, front bumper, and 9005/9006 sockets for the lights. Supershyguy sells lip kits which look amazing. Im not too sure about engine swaps but I know people have put in celica engines in. Research it more or ask on corolla specific sites.

If you were in the market for a car with good looks and performance and had money to spend, you should have purchased an older car that was more performance oriented. With the money that you will spend to do an engine swap or turbo and body kit/rims everything you could buy two or three corollas.
That being said the things you wish to do are attainable with time, research and lots of cash. It is possible to do a swap with a 2zz-ge from a Celica GT-S or Corolla XRS or Matrix XRS, but this will cost a bundle(custom motor mounts, custom axles, ECU, tranny, the engine, etc.) and in the end you still are only running 15s. It will probably be more economical for you to concentrate on handling and looks. Get rims and suspension and nice tires and then maybe make it look good. If by the time you are done with that you aren't totally jaded and still have some money then maybe get into a tranny conversion and a Turbo kit. Good luck!
