USA Oil pressure light

I have a 92 with auto trans, just installed a 5AFE replacing the original 4AFE. See thread about blown engine. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t134261.html Switched out all the sensors, no leaks or sqeaks, runs great.

The only problem is when I rev the engine slightly, or when I accelerate in any gear, the oil pressure light flickers for a second, then goes off. Oil level is fine, and sending unit is from original engine.

I am leaving town tonight, will be back Friday night. My daughter is anxious to drive the car, but I won't let her until I find out the problem. Already got stranded at the side of the interstate once!

Any suggestions? Any help would be great!!

Might be the sending unit (hopefully).... because otherwise its a main bearing failure symptom.

You can buy a cheap dial oil pressure gage, install it and see what kind of pressure you have.
