Im thinking of buying one in the near future. I know the 20 valve swap is pretty impressive but how impressive? This is a stupid question but is it fun to drive? How does it perform in the canyons? Hows does it do on closed course track? Are parts hard to come by? Any info would be good to know.
I can't remember the name but I remember someone was unable to find a part so they could do the swap and just sold the engine and such.
and Toyota won't sell you the stock parts so forget that idea.
Not a civic with a b16 but my friends crx with b16. I figure it around the same but the crx will pull a little more than a civic just because of the weight ratio. By the way, Ive heard of that expression before. Now I have an idea from someone who knows or has the swap.

just started watching Initial D eh?
I watched the movie a while ago and it was a inspiration. I guess im looking for a new project to built with my brother and my dad so a rwd would be fun to work on. Not to mention I could learn how to drift from my friend from monstor (won 2nd place at sonoma D1 event)! I think this would be cool as F..k to do. Plus, I dont want to leave toyota and buy a 240 when I could buy a old diamond in the rough corolla. Its priceless to spend endless time with a car. -thats a pretty nice line. You guys can quote me on that one.
Oh, there is someone by my house that has one. Body is clean, interior is not banged up, so how much do you think I should offer the guy? I think an old man or lady drives it?
Are parts hard to come by?
Quote:
yes.. very hard to come by.
What parts? Please be a little specific. Are we talking piston and rings or are we talking about seals belts etc. Can't you get the parts at the dealer? why not?

OT: Hachi is #8 In japanese. Roku is #6 Basically, it's pronounced 8 and 6. If it was pronounced 86, it'll be Hachijyuroku. (86)
Therefore, it's the nickname given to the chassis, AE86 There's also a Hachi Go. AE85. It's a lower powered car. About 80 hp I believe. And there are two different Corollas for the AE85 and AE86. The Levin and Trueno. Many people prefer the Trueno because well....it was in Initial D and it has a better balance ratio than that of the Levin, but they're similar cars, just the Trueno has better handling.

Huh? Sounds like initial D-Fanknowledge, they got the SAME balance ratio, because they got... guess what? the same chassis, the other one is just with flip lights, the other isnt. I prefer the look of the levin model.
That only applies if it's a liftback model. The proper term for the coupe model would be a COUPI ROKU.

But dont forget! Takumi drives a trueno, so IT MUST be better, because he beat a R32 skyline and few evos. I mean shit, itsukis levin drifts for shit, so it must suck in handling.
Coupi roku, rofl, I was waiting for that term to pop up
