turbo for $500?

i've been looking around at turbos and i found one for $500...
http://www.sportcompactonly.com/product.aspx?p=102190&c=100079&l=2&mk=Toyota

also i'm wondering what all the stuff like 12G, 16G, T-3 Flange, 63 Trim, 0.64 A/R, means, i keep looking at all these turbos and i see all the numbers, and i have no clue how to distinguish a good turbo from a bad turbo

and here are some more expensive turbo's

You can get used turbos for alot less. Chances are those 500dollar turbos are refurbished used turbos.

would i need a bunch of other parts in addition to just the turbo? i haven't been able to find an intercooler because a 1999 corolla isn't too popular of a car to mod, can the other parts of the turbo system be customized or modded from different parts?

Depends on what output you plan to have.
Really though, people shouldnt look at catalogues for parts like "intercooler for corolla 90" because catalogues and magazines are made pretty much for honda... I'm running a intercooler from a C class mercedes.

the only problem is that i would have trouble figuring out what could work in my car, and i have no clue where to find help with it

i've been pretty much turned off regarding the whole idea of a turbo because all the parts it would take i don't have enough knowledge to find them all, if i find a better place to research it and learn about it then maybe i'd go through with it

I didn't think you searched for an intercooler specifically made for the car, I thought you just pick one that fit where you want it and mount it.
