AE92 Wiper Motor and those rods

If you take off the molding under the outside of the windshield of a '90 Corolla, you see some metal rods that move the shafts of the windshield wipers. How does this assembly come apart and does the rod on the passenger side come off the wiper motor? Are the rods permanently attached to the tabs around the shafts? I don't see any bolts there. And does the rod that is attached to the metal tab on motor shaft come off? There is a bolt on the end of the shaft that comes off, but the metal tab on this car is either jammed onto the shaft or part of it.

I consulted ebay. The pictures of wiper motors are not revealing but I found one that showed the tab or cam remains on the shaft. I found that the way to remove the motor is to undo the bolts that hold it to the firewall and pull it away from the firewall slightly so you can see where the rubber covered end of the rod meets the metal tab on the shaft. Pry this junction apart. (Ignore the nut on the end of the shaft, it does no good to remove it.) This will reveal a protrusion that is part of the tab and a nylon fitting in the end of the rod that receives it.
