2003 Corolla paint chipping - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I had my auto for about 10 months now and paint is chipping off the front hood and fenders too easily. Has anybody else notice similar problem?

Yes, I have had much chipping on my 2001 Corolla Hood but I always chalked it up to working at a place with a dirt driveway. However other people that worked there did not really have problems, and my dad drives his 2000 Volvo up his long dirt drive every day with no chips so.... I don't know.
I got some touch-up paint and put it on the chips from time to time. So far they only go through to the primer - no metal.

are you talking about stone chips?

We are talking about the paint chipping off. What specifically causes the chips is one of the questions at hand, for me, it was probably dirt/stones, but I'm not sure.
