KA swap into AE86

hypothetical question

would it be worth it? How hard would it be to do?

factors -
1- MONEY
2- MONEY
3- Would the car be able to handle it?
4- Performance

the car - 1986 Corolla GTS

current engine - 4AGE 310,000km
body condition - not so good

KA
out of a 240sx (duh)
180,000 km
can get it for cheap - bro's doing an sr20 swap.

why? Nick will be the first to tell you it's a truck motor. a higher revving smaller motor is a lot more fun in a light weight car.

the high revving and light 4ag is heart and soul of an ae86

putting a mundane ka into it just for more torque and hp is something you don't want to do... not to mention the extra strain on the chasis do to the added power... ur gona have to do ALOT of chasis/drivetrain reinforcement to make it work....

also the amount of work ur gona have to do to make it work is not gona be worth the cost and end product

ur prob better off spending that money and building up your 4ag 16v...

then again I've heard 4AG-ZE's going for 800... that makes more power than ur KA

also a 4AG-ZE is a straight drop in comparison to what you're trying to attempt with the KA

if your two top considerations are "money" and "money"

i think pretty much any swap involving a motor from another manufacturer is kinda pushing it
