Engine Wants to Die?

This happened to me twice now. Once it happened when my fuel was really low so I just thought that there wasnt any gas gettin to the engine. Happened again just now with full tank. What could be wrong? It wants to die for like 2-3 seconds then goes back to normal. Only does when I come up to a red light. Engine just rolled over to 29k miles. This has gotten me all scared now.

I dont want to alarm you, but mine did that right before the ECU died

But the old engine used to do that regularly. I dont know what it was, i never worked it out myself, but you take the car out of gear and try to coast to a stop (I really only engine brake in a manual) occasionally, it would shudder right before you come to a full stop. Is this the problem you are talking about??

Injen doesnt make a CAI for the 8th gen, just an SRI. One person switched back to stock airbox and the spuddering never happened again.

then I say try that see if it helps. If it doesn't then it may be something more.

I've got an SRI on my 93 FE. It never really wanted to die, but it did kind of sputter sometimes. Past tense because I have not had a problem since adding my cat-back exhaust. The only thing I could think of for a newer car is maybe a sensor isn't functioning properly? My buddy's S14 died repeatedly with the addition of an intake, until he went out and bought a new MAF. It was fine after that. Check to make sure you didn't losen any wires or anything like that. I can't think of anything else that would cause it.
