99 engine vibration and towing questions.

I have a 99 corolla and at an idle the engine seems to shake just a little. On my Saturn I replaced a motor mount and the problem was solved. Does anyone have input on this? Also I just sold the Z71 gas drinking truck. With fuel cost as high as they are I have been thinking about adding a hitch to the old corolla and pulling my small (5x8) trailer when I need to. I would pull it very seldom maybe to home depot to get a couple sheets of plywood, but that is about it. Has anyone tried this? MY friends have been telling me it would look funny, but I hate to buy a small truck and have my mpg drop to the low 20's.

I believe that those cars are approved to tow up to a 1000lb trailer, I would say you are OK doing it as long as you keep a close eye on the tranny fluid and dont do any racing with the trailer attached.

Pulling a small, lightweight trailer should be OK. You might consider getting a removable roof rack, ski rack, etc. to carry a few sheets of plywood on. Works great.

If I could tow my friend's broken-down Volvo with a rope and a '69 VW Bug, it'll work just fine.
