Vandalized ignition

My 1992 corolla dx wagon was broken into today. They were not able to steal the car but they smashed the ignition. Does any one know an easy way to start/ hotwire my car so I can get it home?

Aloha Andrew

The only way to start it if you dont have the Factory Security System is to pull the plug out the back of the ignition, connect the Black Yellow, Black Orange and Black Red together to get power, then tap the Black White on to start. Make sure that the three initial wires dont touch the bw wire once you get going or you will fry your starter...

J.Relax: Dont judge ppl before you get a chance to understand where they are coming from... Especially since you are still new here... The guy may have a genuine reason for needing to get it home. Besides - if he is stealing it, the cops will get him very quickly anyway...

Thanks Spud, It's bad enough that my hunting gear was stolen. The car is a rusty, dented 92 with a Blue Book value of $0. But it runs, it's mine and I need to get to work on Monday. Andrew

From one hunter to another... that sucks !!

Curious, where you hunting ? what do you hunt ? What did they get ? In some hunting aeas we have problems with tweekers here in CA.

If it is a recurring problem... I heard of a guy that put poisoned candy bars in the car and was hit... the scum never came back. Payback is a bitch.

Thanks again Spud, jumping the wires worked great! I got the car home and Monday I plan on using a slide hammer to get the mangled ignition out, unless some one has a better idea.
Bingo, I hunt pigs on Oahu. They got a take down recurve bow, backpack w/miss hunting stuff ( a kick ass blue/white LED light, blood showes up great with it) and my MP3 player. Poison candy sounds a little harsh but I would love to catch them one day and poundsome sense into them.

Andrew: Sorry dude... Losing that stuff has got to hurt. Specially the bow. Maybe now you got to start "sticking" them with a stilletto. It's waterfowl and turkey I go after here in CA. Waiting for them in ambush could be fun.... Later, Bingo
