UK Tape Player

Hello Guys,

I recently just brought a Toyota Corolla GS VVTI 2001 (Y Reg) to replace my old K Reg Rover Metro. I had a Kenwood Cd Player fitted into the Metro which I would now like to transfer into my Corolla.

Does anyone know how to remove the front dash or whatever needs to be removed to get at the stock tape deck?

I have attached a photo so you guys know what i'm on about

(I have pulled off the left and right knobs and there is a screw behind each - not sure if thats all it is...)

Thanks very much!

Jase

I have been looking around and those two screws are all that are holding the panel on. However I have to remove the "circulating air switch" does anyone know how this comes off? I don't wanna break it...

You should be able to just pull off the knobs, the slider control, and the ash tray and lighter.
After that just pull on the outside frame and you should be able to get to the tape deck from there. On my car i had two screws holding the frame. Once all the knobs and sliders were off it was easy to get to the radio. We do have different rollas but the center looks about the same. Hope that helped.

Thanks for that XxaltezzaxX,

I got the little knob off,

I pull the bottom of the panel and that comes away nicely, however the top is still being held in place by something?

Mine is held in with two screws at the top other then that I just pulled on it carefully until I had it out. Some times the clips in there are just really hard to pull out.
