Question 4agze Wiring Harness on a 4AFE?.

OK OK.. Don't shoot me down for this question. Just read first before commenting

OK I hear lot's of talk about Swapping in a 4AGZE for the 4AFE.. OK So that has been done sooo many times..Nothing special

Now here is the question.. I have a TON of Used Toyota Parts, mostly 4A stuff lying around and come across 90 and newer Corolla's with the 4AFE in them all the time and have often wondered....

If one were to graft a 4AGZE Harness, ECU..etc etc...could you make the 4AFE run a small amount of Boost from a Turbo just to make it different and fun? I looked in the history for other topics covering specifically the the Harness question...And didn't find anything that answered my question..

I have a complete 4AGZE Harness, Injectors, ECU, AFM from a JDM MR2..

I also have a 93 4AFE motor I was planning to drop in a 94 Corolla I bought. I can get a Manifold and Turbo, Piping, Intercooler..etc etc..

What would prevent me from making the 4AGZE Harness work with 4AFE motor other than needing to splice some wires? Is it the Distributor? Could I not make that work with the ECU? That to me is the only thing maybe a project stopper???

I am asking all this as I want to know just what a 4AFTE might be like. I Don't want a MS as I want to use some of the Parts I all ready have and I do have most everything I believe?

I am looking to run no more than 7psi. There is no need to say it would be easier to swap in a complete 4AGZE.. That is not the point.. The point is.. could I use the 4AGZE Harness on a 4AFE?

Thanks

I wouldnt bother with a 4a-GZE harness or ECU, standalone ecu ala megasquirt is alot better.
As for a 4A-FE running boost, yes its doable, but the injectors are way small.

Yeah dude.. its not the harness and ECU that will help you run a turbo on your car, you could do it with your original 4AFE stuff, you'll probably run low boost, 4-5psi maybe but it be a nice bump in power. Now if you wanna go higher, like Flashmn said you can go with Megasquirt or any other tuneable ECU systems and you could run higher boost, but you would have to upgrade a lot of other parts, not just the ECU.
