AE102 Problem

Hi,

Long time visitor but first time posting

Ｉown an AE102 corolla 1993 with 7AFE engine (auto tranny) with 140,000 km.

Recently experience loss of power. Climbing hill has become really hard. The engine revs but power just ain't there　ａｔ　３０００ｒｐｍ．

There is one funny noise that i just can't figure. When I　ａｃｃｅｌｅｒａｔｅ，　ｔｈｅｒｅ　ｉｓ　ｔｈｉｓ　ｍｅｔａｌｌｉｃ　ｃｌｉｃｋｉｎｇ　ｎｏｉｓ ｅ　ｌｉｋｅ　（ｋｉ　ｋｉ　ｋｉ　ｋｉ）．　Ｉｔ’ｓ　ｐｒｅｔｔｙ　ｌｏｕｄ．　　Ｉ am wondering if anyone has this problem with their older gen corolla.

BTW. this car has 10W30 mobile 1 synthetic oil. It's well maintainanced.

If the engine is revving but not selecting a gear that sounds like either your tourque convertor or pump has gone. If it is just the mettalic clikcing sound, that could be anything from worn wheel bearings thru to fouled injectors or fuel tank causing pinging...
