Help

Hey there im new to the world of Toyota's and looking to get a Corolla Im a courier so I put alot of miles on my car and a friend at work had his 2001 and it has 330k before he sold it to get a newer one nothing was wrong with it at all so a few questions if you guys dont mind helping me.

1. Are certian generations of Corolla's more reliable then others I know newer cars as a whole are better engineered but will a 95 with 100k still last another 100k?

2. Are their certian things I need to know about certian years of corollas when I go and get one and what ones should I stay away from?

3. How can I tell the diffrence in corolla generations?

4. Lets say I cant afford a 2001 Like my friend how long has that generation of corolla been around and when did it start maybe I can get a older car of the same type of generation? Or are they all reliable as hell?

I think that was about it if anyone else can offer some advice that would be great im looking at a car for abuot 3-8k but most likley 3-6k as I dont think the anyone will finance me for anything more then 6k but we shall see anyways thanks alot.

Oh yeah after some looking around some people are saying that a Geo Prizm is the same as a Corolla except that it just says GEO on it? Is it true are they just as good? And are their any other models of cars that are corolla's yet have another companies brand name on them?

^^ In answer to that one - I believe you have the Chevy Nova over there - They are the same thing as the Corolla's too. But the Geo's are identical mechanically...

For the Generation info - Please read the Master sticky. For how to tell - have a look on the compliance plate under the hood, it has build date and model...

They are all pretty reliable though. So long as you keep them well maintained, Corollas are practically bullet proof...
